Format description
Corn on the cob, vacuum packed only three hours after being harvested, is a specialized product for which Lassonde Specialties is proud to be the world leader.
It is in the Montérégie region, in Quebec, an ideal location renowned for having some of the richest soils in Canada, that Lassonde Specialties has chosen to grow its corn on the cob while respecting nature and the environment. In fact, the natural bio-diversity of the Montérégienne region offers a microclimate favourable to the optimal growth of corn. Because Lassonde Specialties inc.'s processing plant is located so near, the corn is harvested mostly in a radius of less than 30 kilometres, thus allowing quick packaging to ensure an unequalled freshness to the product.
A permanent agricultural manager supervises the growing of corn while a quality control department ensures that high standards are respected.
Vacuum packed corn on the cob offers a nutritious alternative to fresh corn as well as a multitude of advantages such as : availability all year- round and easy and quick preparation.
